Semi-double blooms that are creamy white with a lemon centre that repeat flowering Jun - Oct. Good scent. Grow in humus-rich, moist but well-drained soil in full sun - tolerates almost any soil. For best flowering mulch in winter & feed with a balanced fertilizer in spring & summer. Dead-head regularly to prolong flowering. Prune in late winter (Feb).  Height: 4.5m (15ft) spread: 3m (10ft). Ideal for covering a wall or pergola. To combat fungal diseases regular spraying is needed. Average disease resistance.

City of York is a rambling rose,  forming clusters of semi-double, creamy-white flowers with lemon centres flowering throughout the summer.

This repeat flowering variety is ideal for growing over a pergola, up a north facing wall or against a shady fence. City of York produces flowers very freely with a heady lemony fragrance and the rich golden stamen are a magnet to wildlife.
