
A small evergreen shrub, Escallonia 'Red Dream' has glossy dark green leaves and established plants have masses of pretty, pinkish-red, tubular flowers from mid to late summer. These colourful flowers contrast well against the dark foliage.
Escallonia 'Red Dream' is tolerant of salty air and as a result thrives in coastal areas. It grows to be an attractive flowering border plant or low ground cover shrub and the leaves give year round interest.
In warm areas Escallonia 'Red Dream' can be grown as a very attractive low hedge.
