'Gala' is a medium- to late- season, dessert apple for picking in mid-autumn and storing to mid-winter. The skin is yellow, flushed and striped with red, and the juicy, cream flesh has a rich flavour. It has attractive pink and white blossom. Not self-fertile; in pollination group C.
